Lettuce Lake Park
A hub for outdoor activities is Tampa's Lettuce Lake Park. The 240-acre scenic park invites visitors to ride a bike on the bicycle path, rent a canoe or kayak, catch a fish, eat out at the wooded picnic areas and watch wildlife from the 3,500-foot boardwalk with observation tower.

Bayshore Linear Park Trail
Bayshore Linear Park Trail is 4.5 miles of the world's longest continuous sidewalk. The name comes from its street name and sidewalk width. You'll pass by scenic water views and prestigious mansions, many on the National Historic Register. If you get tired or thirsty there are plenty of benches and water fountains along the outdoor pathway.

The Florida Aquarium

Big Cat Rescue
Visit the largest sanctuary in the world dedicated to the permanent care of abused and abandoned big cats at Big Cat Rescue. While you explore this outdoor oasis, you'll come to appreciate all the hard work and dedication that goes into caring for the animals that are no longer capable of living in the wild. The sanctuary is situated on 55 acres in the Citrus Park area of north Tampa.

Weedon Island Preserve
Nature and outdoor enthusiasts flock to Weedon Island Preserve located in Tampa's beautiful St. Petersburg. Go ahead, take a hike on miles of nature trails or throw a line off the side of the fishing pier. Get a bird's eye view of nature from atop the observation tower.
